Children continue to learn in many important ways over the summer – including new experiences, social opportunities, and interactions with nature. We also hope that they continue to engage in intellectual and academic pursuits, albeit without the formal structure of the school day.
Research shows that during the summer children benefit from exposure to books and review of skills gained during the year. Even an hour or two of reading and discussion each week can help prepare students for reentrance into the school year. With that in mind, we would like to invite you to download the resources below to support summer learning. Many of the resources include games that can entertain while engaging your children intellectually.
We wish you a restful and enjoyable summer and look forward to seeing you and your children in the fall!
