The term Kevutzot refers to our elementary program, which includes students in Kindergarten through fifth grade. The program is designed in accordance with current research in education and pedagogy and is rooted in Beit Rabban’s founding vision for an intellectually rigorous yet progressive school. The Kevutzot curriculum is informed by New York State’s Common Core Standards yet it maintains a philosophy and methodology that is unique to Beit Rabban Day School.

Our approach includes:

  • An integrated approach to academics and Judaics
  • Daily engagement in tefillah and Torah study
  • Interdisciplinary units of study
  • Small learning groups for developing reading, writing, math and Hebrew skills
  • Inter-age learning opportunities
  • Emphasis on speaking, reading, writing, and understanding Hebrew language
  • New York City as a laboratory for field trips and explorations
  • Rich music and arts program, including choir and recorder
  • Active involvement in community service
