DEVASH WEEKLY
PARASHAH MAGAZINE
Devash (honey) is a weekly parashah magazine, produced by the Hadar Institute, that makes learning Torah sweet like honey. By engaging directly with texts, Devash helps children and adults discover new ideas, values, and sweet morsels in the weekly Torah portion. We hope that Devash helps enrich your family's Torah learning, both on Shabbat and throughout the week!

ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT
Mazal Tov to alum, Shoshana Akabas, we are so proud to be connected to you! Thank you for all you do for our community, and thank you for inspiring our students when you came to share your work with them!
Shoshana Akabas Barzel, the founder and executive director of New Neighbors Partnership, a non-profit that welcomes refugee families by matching them with local families, was selected as one of the New York Jewish Week’s 36 to Watch (formerly 36 Under 36). This distinction honors leaders, entrepreneurs and changemakers who are making a difference in New York’s Jewish community.
BEIT RABBAN PARENT ASSOCIATION (BRPA)
The Beit Rabban Parent Association (BRPA) supports both our community and our school. BRPA dues are paid as part of FACTS tuition contracts. We use those dues to pay for a variety of activities. Some of them include:

Sending Support (such as meals or groceries) to our families through our Caring Community Initiative.

Family Programming like picnics and holiday celebrations.

Parent learning like Salon Beit Rabban (which showcases the skills and expertise of our parent body), and parenting workshops (recent topics have included digital citizenship, child safety, first aid and CPR, and positive discipline).

Parent activities like running clubs, book festivals, cooking classes, and paint nights.

Hakarat HaTov – Staff Appreciation, such as gifts and occasional lunches for our fabulous faculty and staff.
